What is Hash rate

A hash rate is a measure of the computational power consumed by a mining rig or a cryptocurrency network. It is measured in hash/second. Mining requires substantial processing power to calculate cryptographic hashes that are utilized to prevent double spending. More superior computers have higher hash rates but are also more costly. The higher the hash rate of a mining is, the greater is the probability of obtaining a solution that results in a mining reward.
