What is Price action

Price action is the dataset of an asset’s prices over time presented in a chart form. Price action is used as a reference by technical analysts. They thoroughly observe past price movements and, using different tools, try to extract relevant information that could be useful in predicting upcoming trends. Based on their analysis and predictions, analysts set their trading strategies and take buy or sell decisions. The price action chart could appear in different forms, but the candlestick pattern is the one most frequently used.
