What is IEO

An Initial Exchange Offering (IEO), similarly to Initial coin offering (ICO), is an event hosted to gather funds for a crypto project. During IEOs, the project leaders turn to a crypto exchange for raising funds on their behalf, unlike ICOs where they perform their own promotion and sales activities. The crypto exchange will perform the fundraising activities, and in return will ask the crypto-launching company to pay a fee. The exchange could also ask the company for a percentage of the tokens.

By using the services of the crypto exchange platform, the crypto company could market their tokens to the exchange’s existing clientele. Moreover, backed by a known crypto exchange, the company can earn the support and trust of skeptical users.
